Seven Short Films For Old Red

Dallas’ turn-of-the-century Old Red Courthouse is being transformed into a state-of-the-art museum of Dallas County history. Mark Birnbaum Productions was tapped to produce orientation films for four theaters, each one focusing on an historical era, from pre-history to 2000. The films will utilize extensive archival materials, original photography, and an original musical score to tell the story of Dallas and its surrounding communities. Additionally, two short films are being produced about the history of Deep Ellum, long a center for blues music, and the Harlemwood films from the SMU archives.

Produced, directed, and edited by Mark Birnbaum. Associate Producer, Laura Nietzel. Graphics by Mark Clive. Musical score by  Bryant-Hames Music. Scripts by Marshall Riggan.
